Dismal Record

Steve Kean has taken charge of 24 games and won only 5.

At that rate we could be the next Derby County (relegated by Christmas).

How does he keep his job? He has accumulated 22 points from 24 games, that equates to 36 points for a full season of 38 games – Relegation

How does he keep his job?

Reg Impressed

I was one of the few 8,607 supporters at Ewood Park on Wednesday Evening for the Sheffield Wednesday Carling Cup Tie.
Impressed by the performance of youngster Ruben Rochina, Kean could at last find a real find.
David Goodwillie also scored a good goal, very well taken, but he just does not look fit, faded badly in second half. He might struggle at Premiership level.
Trying not to forget that the opposition was very poor, but you can only beat what is put in front of you.
Sorry to hear of the departure of Brett Emerton, Rovers can ill afford to lose players of his experience and calibre. He has been a good servant to Rovers and this website wishes him all the best for the future.

Reg Goes National

Reg’s ban by the Lancashire Telegraph made the National News on Thursday 25th August 2011.
Charles Sale of the Daily Mail highlighted Reg’s plight in his sport agenda column.
Other National newspapers and TV have also shown an interest in the Lancashire Telegraph ban. Watch this space!

El Hadji Diouf Puts The Boot Into Kean

Senegal Star El Hadji Diouf claims manager Steve Kean has cold shouldered him since replacing Sam Allardyce and predicts Rovers are heading for the drop under Kean.

Diouf says “The spirit to win has gone as team spirit has dwindled, for the sake of the supports I don’t want Rovers to go down, but under Kean they will. Ewood is not a fortress any more, teams used to come in fear, now they can’t wait to play Rovers, it is an easy three points Diouf concluded”.

I have to say before you all do, El Hadji sounds a bit like Reg!!!

Strange that on the day 24th August, when Diouf’s comments were reported throughout media and TV outlets nationwide the Kean friendly Lancashire Telegraph didn’t carry the story!

Reg Is Banned

The Lancashire Telegraph has banned any paid advertisements for Reg of the Rovers website.

In a draconian act of censorship, Editor Kevin Young has banned “Reg”, despite having advertised since the website was created in December 2010, the telegraph editor has issued instructions that Reg is banned from advertising in the pages of the Blackburn based newspaper.

I have not spoken to the editor directly, his instructions were passed onto me by a member of his advertising staff citing a “conflict of interest” whatever that means?

I have been very critical of the new owners since they took over the club; their running of the club has been met with ridicule from all sections of the media, except the Lancashire Telegraph. My criticism has been echoed by many supporters in addition to the National Press so I am not alone voice. I just want to know what is happening to my beloved Blackburn Rovers.
